Meet your agent

A neighbor who knows the paperwork

I'm Irma Ramos Peraza, a Florida-licensed health and life insurance agent (license G103351) based in Deerfield Beach and working with the MLC Insurance Agency family. I help households across Florida navigate the Health Insurance Marketplace and Medicare — in English and in Spanish.

Health insurance is full of fine print, deadlines and acronyms. My job is to translate all of it, compare the options available where you live, and make sure you never have to face an enrollment form alone.

“Every family deserves to understand exactly what their coverage does for them — in the language they think in.”

Good questions

Answers before you even ask

Does it cost anything to work with you?

No. My help is free to you — licensed agents are paid by the insurance companies, and your monthly premium is the same whether you enroll with an agent or on your own. The difference is that with me, you have someone in your corner.

When can I enroll in a health plan?

Open Enrollment for Marketplace plans runs November 1 through January 15 in Florida. Outside those dates, life events like moving, losing job coverage, getting married or having a baby can open a Special Enrollment Period. Medicare has its own windows — including your Initial Enrollment Period around your 65th birthday and the Annual Enrollment Period October 15 – December 7.

Can I get help paying for coverage?

Many Florida families qualify for extra help towards their monthly insurance cost, depending on household size and income. When we talk, I'll run your numbers and tell you honestly what you may qualify for — savings are never guaranteed until the Marketplace confirms them.

What do I need to apply?

Usually: your household's income estimate for the year, dates of birth, Social Security numbers or immigration documents for those applying, and your doctors and medications so we can check networks. I'll walk you through the list on our first call.

Do you speak Spanish?

¡Sí! I serve my clients fully in Spanish or English — your choice, from the first call to every renewal.
